INSTALLATION
WARNING
Carry out the unpacking, assembly, lifting and
installation operations described with care.
Failure to comply with these instructions could
damage the machine and put the operator
at risk.
Assembling the equipment
- Unpack the equipment, placing the packaging
in the position shown by the markings on it.
- Unpack the personal computer.
- Remove the monitor from its packaging.
- Assemble the column (7, Fig 1), consisting of
2 parts.
- Install the shelf (2, fig.1).
- Install the PC Box (4, fig.1) and insert the PC.
- Remove the rear panel of the column.
- Connect the USB hub (HUB, Figure 2) to a free
USB port on the back of the PC.
- Install keyboard, mouse and printer by con-
necting to the USB HUB (HUB, fig.2).
- Install the monitor stand to the monitor and
mount them on the column (1, Figure 1), us-
ing the provided screws.
-Connect the printer to the main supply via the
power strip located inside the bottom of the
column.
-Connect the monitor to the PC and the power
supply, through the power strip located in-
side the bottom of the column.
- Mount the beam (6, Figure 1) using the pro-
vided screws.
From the lower opening of the Beam out of 4
USB type cables and 1 power type.
Bring 4 USB cables inside the PC Box through
the rear hole (L1-C1-L2-C2, Fig. 2).
- Connect the 2 camera USB cable with 2 USB
ports on the back of the PC (C1-C2, Figure 2).
- Connect the 2 USB cables with molded ferrite
(Cuboled cards) to the USB HUB (L1-L2, Fig-
ure 2).
- Connect the Beam power cord to +12 V switch-
ing power supply output (PS, Figure 2), pay-
ing attention to the polarity (BROWN wire =
+12 V, BLUE wire = GROUND).
- Leave disconnected the cable with 9-pin
connector versions without moving the
beam.
- Connect the switching power supply to the
power supply (PS, Fig. 2).

- Connect the PC to the mains supply (Fig. 2)
via the strip placed inside the lower part of
the column.
- Connect the cables with the aid of the wiring
diagram (Fig. 40); all the plugs are clearly in-
dicated on their respective PC sockets. Push
the plugs in completely without straining and,
where applicable, tighten the lock screws.
- The aligner wheel is factory-set to operate with
a mains voltage of 230Vac. The wheel aligner
may be configured to operate with a mains
voltage of 115Vac.
- Refit the rear panel of the column, fastening
with the specific tool provided.
- Connect the power supply cable to the plug
provided; first read the "Electrical Hook-up"
section.
- Turn on the aligner with the main switch and
the monitor and the printer with the specific
switches.
- Update the wheel aligner software if necessary,
"Updating the Wheel Aligner Software" sec-
tion, and install any optional kits, "Installing
Additional Functions" section.
Software protection key
installation
Insert the software protection key supplied in
a free USB port of the USB HUB (SP, Figure 2).
The software protection key is required to use
the aligner.
CAUTION
For additional information about the technical
characteristics, warnings, maintenance and any
other data about the monitor or the printer,
read the relative operator's manuals supplied
with machine documentation.
Upgrading the wheel aligner
software
The wheel aligner is supplied with the software
already installed, and is complete with an instal-
lation CD-ROM.
After installing the wheel aligner, switch on the
machine and go to the starting screen.
Press the key combination È + F12 (upper case
+ F12): the software version will appear on the
top left of the screen, beneath the logo.
Compare the software release (indicated as "SW
STD ...") with that stated on the installation CD-
