In your own interest, read the following safety and warning instructions completely before you start using the kiln.
Safety-related information is explained in more detail in the following sections and consists of:
• Safety instructions
These apply to the entire kiln and all phases of the kiln's life.
• Special warnings
These are listed in the respective description of the special activities to do with the kiln.

As the operator, you must comply with all safety information and warnings and observe the information on the
warning signs as well as the safety-related information and regulations in the applicable documents.

Structure of safety, warning and general information

You must observe the safety-related information and the safety labels to avoid possible hazards and personal
injury.

The safety information and warnings in these original operating instructions are identified by symbols and are
introduced by signal words that clarify the degree of risk.

These warn the user of hazards and provide instructions on how these hazards can be avoided.

The activity-related warnings and mandatory signs are listed in these original operating instructions before the
description of potentially dangerous work steps.

Types of listed safety-related notices

DANGER
A symbol with the signal word indicates imminent danger.
If it is not avoided, death or severe injuries will result.
WARNING
A symbol with the signal word indicates possible impending danger.
If it is not avoided, death or severe injuries can result.
CAUTION
A symbol with the signal word indicates possible impending danger.
If it is not avoided, slight or minor injuries can result.
NOTE
A symbol with the signal word indicates a possibly harmful situation.
If it is not avoided, the kiln or something in its vicinity could be damaged.
INFORMATION
This symbol:
• either indicates sources of information or further information,
• or explains activities and processes that can improve the performance of the kiln or
activities to do with the kiln.
