The heat loss from the kiln casing should be taken into account when designing the room ventilation (supply air
and exhaust air).
The kiln can optionally be equipped with an exhaust air hood to remove the exhaust air from the firing chamber.
The exhaust hood works in the same way as the exhaust air socket.

Notes on exhaust gas temperature

The exhaust gas temperature depends on various factors. For example, with a glaze firing at 1150°C, the ceramic
exhaust pipe can reach temperatures of 600-700°C.
This exhaust gas temperature is immediately cooled by mixing with the ambient air:
After 1 m of the pipeline, the exhaust gas temperature is still approx. 110 °C
After 2 m of the pipeline, the exhaust gas temperature is still approx. 60 °C
