THROTTLE CONTROL INSPECTION/
ADJUSTMENT
1) Set the control lever in the full open position
(Remote control type) or throttle grip in the full
open position (Tiller handle type) and make sure
that the throttle arm contacts to the full open
stopper. If not, readjust the pivot shaft position on
the throttle control cable (see page 21 or 35).
2) Check whether there is a clearance of 1 mm
(0.04 in) or less between the throttle lever and the
stopper on the throttle body.
3) If the gap is more than 1 mm (0.04 in), disconnect
the throttle rod from the throttle cam and adjust
by loosening the lock nut and turning the linkage
pivot.

4) After adjustment, tighten the lock nut and install
the throttle rod on the throttle cam.
5) With the control lever in the "N" (Neutral) position

6) If not, disconnect the throttle rod from the throttle
7) After adjustment, tighten the lock nut and install

8) Check whether the control lever moves smoothly

that the boss on the throttle arm goes out of sight
behind the throttle cam as shown below.
