Faults
The pump does not deliver
the correct pumping power.
The seal sensor (oil barrier
chamber) is activated.
The motor switches off and
then on again shortly after-
wards. The motor protection
switch does not respond.
Cause
The pump turns in the wrong direc-
tion of rotation.
The pumping height of the pump is
too small.
Leaks in the pipeline network/pump
coupling.
The pump does not pump, possibly
an air bubble in the pump.
Pump or line is blocked.
High wear of the pump hydraulics.
Stop valve is closed or the non-re-
turn valve is blocked.
Water is present in the oil of the
pump.
The alarm is triggered the first time
the pump is switched on following
installation.
The pump is working in an operating
cycle with an excessive number of
pump strokes.
Too much dirt (insulation) on the
motor – heat is not dissipated.
Remedy
Check the direction of rotation of the
motor, and change if necessary.

During pump operation, check
the total pumping height using
a pressure gauge. Compare the
measured value with the nominal
value in the technical documentation
or previous measured values. If the
pump has already been working for
a long time and the pump height has
reduced, dismantle the pump and
check whether the impeller is worn
or blocked.
Check, and repair damage if nec-
essary.
Switch off the pump, and wait for a
short time before switching back on.
First check the pump and then the
lines for blockages.
The pump requires a thorough
overhaul.
Open the stop valve or unblock the
valve.
The pump-side floating ring seal is
worn. Perform the required mainte-
nance as quickly as possible.
Check whether the seal sensor has
been connected correctly.
Structural measures to enlarge the
collecting shaft. The non-return
valve is faulty and doesn't close after
switching off the pump, which leads
to refilling of the collecting shaft.
Spray the motor with water and
clean it.
