Check the pump, cable, and installation for visible wear or damage and replace defective or
damaged part if necessary

9.3 Oil change

Under normal operating conditions, an oil change must be performed every 3000 operating
hours, or in harsher operating conditions, every 1500 operating hours. To drain the oil com-
pletely, the electric pump must be positioned horizontally. If the drained oil looks similar to an
emulsion, it must be replaced and the floating ring seals must be checked.
If the oil barrier chamber contains not only oil, but also water, the medium-side floating ring seal
must be replaced. The floating ring seal on the motor side must only be replaced if it is dam-
aged or if liquid is present in the motor compartment.
We recommend the use of Weissöl 82 oil (can be supplied on request) or a similar biodegrada-
ble product.
For correct filling, adhere to the specified oil quantities. (See spare parts list) The oil barrier
chamber is designed to guarantee a suitable air cushion. After completing oil drainage and
filling work, ensure that all sealing plugs are tightly sealed and equipped with a new copper
seal. Dispose of the used oil in an environmentally friendly way.
If this work is to be performed by Biral, we recommend an inspection in the
Münsingen plant.
Never mix different types of oil.
9.4 Maintenance contract
To ensure regular, professional execution of all necessary maintenance and inspection tasks,
we recommend that you take out a maintenance contract with Biral customer service.
9.5 Spare parts
Lists of spare parts are available from Biral or can be downloaded on the Internet from www.
biral.ch. The following information must be given when ordering spare parts (can be found on
the nameplate):
– Complete pump model
– Order number
– Item number of the spare part
– Required quantity
9.6 Warranty
For the pump described here, the general terms and conditions of sales and delivery apply (see
www.biral.ch) as for all other Biral products. One of the underlying conditions for the warranty
is that all points in this documentation are followed. Operating faults resulting from wear and/or
corrosion are not covered under the warranty.
