Requirements for
installation
Before you install and connect your system, the
following requirements must be met:
The building must be fitted with the following:
a main pipe which is vented separately
-
from the black water line and conducts
the shower and bath water to the
recycling system.
a process water network which is
-
separate from the drinking water
system and connects the water
recycling system to the tapping points
(WC, washing machine, outside tap,
etc.).
There must be no interconnection between the
drinking water and process water.
The water recycling system needs a separate
air vent. This is done mostly with a roof vent via
the shower water feed line. The air vent must
not be connected to the black water air vent,
otherwise gases from the sewer may enter the
system.
Provide the system overflow/the connection to
the drains with a trap/siphon trap.
Take into consideration the backwater level of
the drains. Depending on the installation site of
the water recycling system, see to it that in
case of backwater no wastewater from the
municipal sewage system can enter the water
recycling system.
If the shower and bath water cannot be gravity
fed into the water recycling system, pumping
equipment must be installed
All the sources of water below the feed can be
supplied to the water recycling system by
pumping equipment. The pumping equipment
must have a separate overflow and a delivery
rate of max. 35 l/min.
Flush all the supply pipes before start-up. In
this way you will prevent any debris and foreign
matter from entering the system. The time
when building work is finalised, directly before
occupancy, therefore presents itself as the
appropriate time for start-up.
Mark the process water pipes in colour (the
entire line).

upstream.
Provide the cold water pipes (drinking water
top-up) with insulation.
Refer to the respective dimensional drawing in
the Operating Manual for the ceiling height
required.
The installation site must be frost-proof, dry,
weatherproof and well ventilated.
Position the water recycling system on a flat
surface and align it.
The floor load-bearing capacity must be at least
1250 kg/m².
There must be a floor drain in the room where
the system is installed. Note EN 12056
"Drainage Systems".
The use of a water meter is not prescribed. We
recommend installing one water meter in the
clear water line and one in the drinking water
top-up. In this way you can use the difference
to establish the saving achieved by the water
recycling system.
Carry out the tapping points according to the
Drinking Water Ordinance 2001 §17 para. 2
clause 3.
Mark the tapping points "Non-potable water".
The drinking water has to be fed according to
the rules in DIN/EN 1717. This requirement is
met by the water recycling system.
In a single-family home you are free to do your
laundry using process water. In a tenement
building, process water can be offered to
tenants for them to do their laundry if they are
provided with an alternative drinking water
connection for the washing machine.
