Now the remaining axles and cogwheels for the rear differential
must be assembled:
• Attach the „K3" ball bearing to the „AC2" axle and then attach the
snap ring „SR1" to the axle (for correct position; see figure to the
right). Insert the metal pin „ST1" into the opening of axle „AC2";
attach the cogwheel „Z2" and the small ball bearing „K4".
• Insert one ball bearing „K5" each to the left and the right of the
cogwheel „Z4". Then insert the axle „AC4".
• The cogwheel „Z3" is usually already installed on the axle „AC3".
A flattened part of the axle and inside the cogwheel prevents the
cogwheel from turning on the axle. Attach the snap ring „SR1" to
the axle as shown in the figure and then attach the ball bearing
„K3".
• Now insert the axles/cogwheels assembled this way into the lower
casing part „G3"; see figure to the right . Put some gear grease
between the cogwheels.
• Put on the casing lid „G4" and fasten it with 5 tapping screws
„S1" (thread length 10mm).
• Afterwards, the cardan attachment „KM1" must be secured with
a grub screw „MS1".
First put a bit of thread locker onto the thread of the
grub screw „MS1"! Otherwise, the grub screw will loosen
after a few minutes of driving and the engine will be
blocked.
After assembly of the rear differential, install the engine; see next
page.
