Possible cause
The safety cut-out for the elec-
tric back-up heater is open due
to: – Insufficient volume flow or
air in the building circuit, – Im-
mersion heater operation for un-
filled building circuit, – Immer-
sion heater operation for flow
temperatures above 95 °C trips
the safety fuse of the safety cut-
out and requires that a fuse be
replaced, – Feed-in of external
heat in the building circuit.
Defective fuse. Incorrect
electrical connections. Mains
voltage too low. Com-
pressor/low-tariff power supply
not connected. Energy supply
company lockout longer than
three hours.
Electric back-up heater defect-
ive. Poorly tightened electrical
connections. Mains voltage too
low.

Measure
1.
Check for circulation in the building circuit pump.
2.
If required, open the stopcocks.
3.
Replace the safety cut-out.
4.
Reduce or stop the transfer of heat from outside.
5.
Check that the dirt filter that is in place is permeable.
1.
Check the fuse.
2.
Check the electrical connections.
3.
Check the voltage at the heat pump electrical connection.
4.
Reduce energy supply company anti-cycling time to under
three hours.
1.
Check the electric back-up heater and its power supply.
2.
Check the electrical connections.
3.
Measure the voltage at the electrical connection for the elec-
tric back-up heater.
▶
Ensure that the unit pairing is correct.
▶
Check the connection pipes between the power supply PCB
and control PCB on the indoor and outdoor unit.
