Disposing of the refrigerant
Danger!
Risk of death caused by fire or explosion
when transporting refrigerant!
If R32 refrigerant is released during transport,
a flammable atmosphere may form when it
mixes with air. There is a risk of fire and ex-
plosion. In the event of a fire, toxic or corros-
ive substances, such as carbonyl fluoride,
carbon monoxide or hydrogen fluoride, are
produced.

Ensure that the refrigerant is transported
correctly.

Risk of damage to the environment.
The product contains the refrigerant R32.
This refrigerant must not be allowed to es-
cape into the atmosphere. R32 is a fluorin-
ated greenhouse gas covered by the Kyoto
Protocol, with a GWP of 675 (GWP = Global
Warming Potential).

Before the product is disposed of, have
the refrigerant which it contains com-
pletely drained into a suitable vessel so
that it can then be recycled or disposed of
in accordance with regulations.

Ensure that the refrigerant is disposed of by a qualified
competent person.
▶
Ensure that the recovered refrigerant is sent back to the
refrigerant suppliers in the correct recovery cylinder and
that the relevant waste processing certificate is issued.
Do not mix any refrigerants in the recovery units and, in
particular, not in the refrigerant cylinders.

If a compressor or compressor oil has to be removed, en-
sure that it is evacuated to an acceptable level in order to
ensure that no combustible refrigerant remains in the lub-
ricant. The evacuation process must be carried out be-
fore returning the compressor to the supplier. To accel-
erate this process, the compressor housing must only be
heated electrically. If compressor oil is drained from the
system, this must be carried out safely and securely.
