4.3
Selecting the installation site
Select a dry interior room that is frost-proof throughout
and in which the maximum installation height is not ex-
ceeded and the environmental temperature is neither
above nor below the permitted range.
Permissible environmental temperature for a ground
installation: 7 ... 40 ℃
Permissible environmental temperature for installation
in a recess: 7 ... 40 ℃
Permissible environmental temperature for installation
in a cupboard: 7 ... 25 ℃
Permissible relative air humidity: 40 ... 75 %
The installation site must be below 2000 metres above
sea level.
Ensure that the required minimum clearances can be
maintained.
Observe the permissible height difference between
outdoor unit and indoor unit. See technical data
(→ Page 267).
When selecting the installation site, you must take into
consideration that when the heat pump is in operation, it
will transfer vibrations to the floor and the nearby walls.
Ensure that the floor is level and has sufficient load-bear-
ing capacity to bear the weight of the product incl. the
filling of the domestic hot water cylinder.
Ensure that pipes can be easily routed in an appropriate
way (domestic hot water side, heating side and refriger-
ant side).
4.4
Guaranteeing the minimum installation area
of the installation room
Ensure that the installation room has the required install-
ation area in accordance with the international standard
for combustible refrigerants.
Installation area minimum dimension for 4/6 kW
(→ Page 210)
Installation area minimum dimension for 8/10/14 kW
(→ Page 210)
If the minimum installation area cannot be guaranteed
by a single room, it is also possible to combine multiple
rooms to form a natural ventilation airflow network. In do-
ing so, you must always ensure that there is an exchange
of air between the rooms.
Calculate the natural ventilation airflow network for R32
installations in buildings as follows (IEC 60335-2-40:2018
G1.3).
For stationary units, rooms that are on the same storey
and connected to each other via an open passage are
considered as a single room when determining conformity
with the A
regulations, if the passage complies with all of
min
the following requirements:
It is a permanent opening.
It extends to the floor.
It is intended for people to pass through.
For stationary units, the area of the adjacent rooms on the
same storey that are connected to each other by permanent
openings in the walls and/or doors between the inhabited
rooms, including the gaps between the wall and floor, are
considered as a single room when determining conformity
with the A
regulations if the passage complies with all of
min
the following requirements:
