4.
Ensure the inner conductor insulation is not damaged
when stripping the outer sheathing.
5.
Only strip inner conductors just enough to establish
good, sound connections.
6.
To avoid short circuits resulting from loose individual
wires, fit conductor end sleeves on the stripped ends of
the conductors.
7.
Screw the respective plug to the connection cable.
8.
Check whether all conductors are inserted mechanic-
ally securely in the plug terminals. Remedy this if ne-
cessary.
9.
Plug the plug into the associated PCB slot.
10.
Ensure that the wiring is not exposed to any wear, cor-
rosion, tension, vibrations, sharp edges and other ad-
verse environmental conditions. Also take the effects of
ageing into account.
6.8
Establishing the power supply
1.
Remove the front casing. (→ Page 213)
2.
Swivel the electronics box to the side. (→ Page 214)
3.
Guide all of the connection cables through the grom-
met on the upper side of the product.
4.
Guide the power supply cable (2) and other connection
cables (24 V/eBUS/Modbus) (1) along the left-hand
side casing in the product.
5.
Guide the power supply cable through the strain reliefs
and to the terminals on the power supply PCB.
6.
Connect the power supply cable to the corresponding
terminals.
7.
Guide the eBUS cable, the Modbus cable and other
low-voltage connection cables (24 V) through the strain
reliefs to the terminals for the control PCB.
8.
Connect the connection cables to the corresponding
terminals.
9.
Secure the cables in the strain reliefs.

1.
If it is stipulated for the installation site, install a type A
residual-current circuit breaker for the product with a
dimensioning difference breaking current below 30 mA.
2.
Note the specifications on the sticker on the electronics
box.
3.
Use a harmonised 3-pole power supply cable with a
conductor cross-section of 4 mm².
4.
Remove the cable jacket until there is only 30 mm left.
5.
Connect the power supply cable to L1, N, PE, as
shown.
6.
Use the strain relief clamp to secure the cable in place.
7.
Observe the instructions on connecting a dual-tariff
supply; see (→ Page 220).
