3~/400V single power supply
X311
X310
1.
If it is stipulated for the installation site, install a type A
residual-current circuit breaker for the product with a
dimensioning difference breaking current below 30 mA.
2.
Note the specifications on the sticker on the electronics
box.
3.
Use a harmonised 5-pole power supply cable with a
conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm².
4.
Remove the cable jacket until there is only 70 mm left.
5.
Remove the rigid sheet metal bridge at X300 between
connections L1, L2 and L3.
6.
Connect the power supply cable to L1, L2, L3, N, PE,
as shown.
7.
Observe the instructions on connecting a dual-tariff
supply; see (→ Page 220).

1.
If it is stipulated for the installation site, install a type A
residual-current circuit breaker for the product with a
dimensioning difference breaking current below 30 mA.
2.
Note the specifications on the sticker on the electronics
box.
3.
Use a harmonised 5-pole power supply cable (low tar-
iff) with a conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm². Use a
harmonised 3-pole power supply cable (high tariff) with
a conductor cross-section of 4 mm².
4.
Remove the cable jacket until there is only 70 mm left
for the 5-pole cable, and only 30 mm left for the 3-pole
cable.
5.
Remove the rigid sheet metal bridge at X300 between
connections L1, L2 and L3.
6.
Connect the power supply cable, as shown.
7.
Observe the instructions on connecting a dual-tariff
supply; see (→ Page 220).

Limiting the power consumption
Routing the communication cables
Route the sensor and/or bus lines through the grommet
in the product's cover.
Guide the sensor and/or bus lines in the product along
to the left-hand side casing.
Modbus
eBus
24V-S20
Route the 24 V cable for the S20 contact limit thermo-
stat, the Modbus cable and the eBUS cable through
the right-hand strain reliefs for the electronics box.
Connecting the Modbus cable
Ensure that connections A and B on the indoor unit
are connected to connections A and B on the outdoor
unit using the Modbus cable. To do this, use a Modbus
cable with different conductor colours for signals A and
B.
Use a Modbus cable from the accessories, or alternat-
ively a shielded twin-core cable with a conductor cross-
section of at least 0.34 mm².
Route the Modbus cable so that it is protected against
UV radiation.
≤
15 mm
To avoid short circuits resulting from loose individual
wires, fit conductor end sleeves on the stripped ends of
the conductors.
Use the red Pro-E plug from the bag of small parts for
the connection. Ensure that the polarity (A|B) is correct
in accordance with the outdoor unit.
Route the Modbus cable into the indoor unit and use
one of the strain relief clamps.
Plug the red Pro-E plug into slot X25.
