3.1. Controls and signals

Figure 3.3 details the different control and signalling components on the ADC 2100 or ADC-RES controller.

3.1.1 LED display

The LED display screen indicates the status of the generating set, as explained in the table in figure 3.3.
The LED display is activated by a start or RUN command as follows:
- Set the main switch to "RUN".
- With the main switch set to "AUTO", send a remote start command (close the remote start contact across wires 3 and 4).
When the generating set is running, engine hours of operation are shown unless the arrow keys are used to step through the other
displays as described in Section 3.1.2.
When the main switch is set to AUTO, the LED display screen goes off 48 hours after the generating set is switched off
(see section 3.6).

Description
Indicates the total number of hours of operation for the
generating set, while it has been operating and in the
absence of any other code being displayed.
Displays AC voltage (output), frequency and battery
voltage. Press the up and down arrow keys when hours of
operation are displayed to step through these displays.
Displays "CC_1", "CC_2" or "CC_3" to indicate that the
system is on the first, second or third attempt to start the
engine. The last figure flashes until the end of cycle.
A 2- or 3-letter code flashes to indicate one of the various
possible fault conditions. See section 3.4.
Indicates the controller software version
Use the arrow keys to step through the data displays. See
figure 3.4.
The keypad is only used to configure the controller and to
modify its settings. Only have the controller configured
and adjusted by an approved distributor/retailer. The
configuration functions
protected.
This is used to select the generating set on/off functions
and to reset the controller.
