2.3. Installation

2.3.1 Lifting

Warning
The approximate generating set weights are given in figure 2.5. Use lifting bars inserted in the specially-designed openings in the
base to lift the entire generating set. See figures 2.6 and 2.8 for the location of the openings for lifting.

2.3.2 Installation and assembly

The general dimensions of the generating set and the location of the fuel inlets and electric line are given in figures 2.6 and 2.8. The
dimensions on the diagrams are given in millimetres with the corresponding measurement in inches given in brackets.
Install the generating set outside. Allow sufficient space around the generating set, as recommended in figures 2.7 and 2.9. Position
the generating set so that exhaust gases are not expelled near sensitive plants or inflammable matter. Do not install the generating
set where exhaust gases could accumulate and enter a building which may be occupied.
For transportation purposes, the generating set is mounted on a plastic assembly pallet. To install it, prepare a flat area of ground
covered with gravel, as indicated in figures 2.7 and 2.9.
Place the plastic pallet directly on the gravel. Do not place the pallet directly on grass.
Load imbalance. Using inappropriate lifting equipment can pose a risk of death or
serious injuries and damage to equipment. Do not use lifting rings.
