4.1.10 Battery charger

All the unions must be periodically tightened. This is the only maintenance required for the battery charger.

4.1.11 Circuit protection

4.1.11.1. Line circuit breaker

The purpose of the line circuit breaker is to open the generator's output circuit in the event of a fault with the wiring between the
generator and the power supply. The position of the line circuit breaker is given in figure 2.3. See the figure 4.8 below for the circuit
breaker nominal values depending on the models. If the circuit breaker is tripped, reduce the load and reset the circuit breaker.
When the circuit breaker is set to "OFF", the generating set can operate, but the power supply from the generator does not supply
power to the load.

4.1.11.2. Fuses

The engine wiring harness includes two 10 A fuses and one 20 A fuse. A third 10 A fuse protects the battery charger.
Always identify and correct the source of the fault which caused the fuse to blow before restarting the generating set. Refer to
section 5 "Faults and repairs", for details of faults which could cause the fuse to blow. Always replace a blown fuse with an identical
fuse.

4.1.12 Storage procedure

Apply the following procedure for storing the generating set if it will not be used for over 3 months.
Note: Operate the generating set at least once a month, as soon as possible.

4.1.12.1. Lubrication circuit

1. Run the generating set until it has reached its normal operating temperature, or for at least 15 minutes.
2. Switch off the generating set.
3. While the engine is still warm, drain the lubricating oil from the sump.
4. Refill the sump with engine oil. See section 4.1.2.3. for the recommended oils.
5. Run the generating set for a few minutes to allow the new oil to be fully distributed.
6. Switch off the generating set.

4.1.12.2. Fuel supply circuit

1. Start the generating set.
2. Without switching off the generating set, close off the gas supply.
3. Allow the generating set engine to switch itself off.
4. Move the main switch on the generating set to "OFF/RESET".
