Clutch lever (fig. 11)
Lever (5) disengages the clutch. It features a dial
adjuster (6) for lever distance from the twistgrip on
handlebar.
To make the adjustment, keep lever (5) full forward and
adjust knob (6), turning it in correspondence with one of
the four preset positions, taking account of the fact that:
position 1 corresponds to the maximum distance between
lever and grip, while position 4 corresponds to the
minimum distance.
When you pull lever (5), transmission is disengaged from
the engine to the gearbox and therefore from the driving
wheel. Using the clutch properly is essential to smooth
riding, especially when moving off.
Warning
Adjustment of clutch and brake lever must be carried
out when motorcycle is stopped.
Important
Using the clutch properly will avoid damage to
transmission parts and spare the engine.
Notes
It is possible to start the engine with side stand down
and the gearbox in neutral. When starting the bike with a
gear engaged, pull the clutch lever (in this case the side
stand must be up).
