Checking coolant level (fig. 45)
Check the coolant level in the expansion reservoir on the

RH side of the motorcycle; it must be between the MAX
and MIN reference marks in the reservoir.
If the level is low, top it up.
Unscrew the filler (1) and add a mixture consisting of water
MAX
and antifreeze SHELL Advance Coolant or Glycoshell
MIN
(35-40% of the volume) up to MAX mark.
Reinstall the plug (1).

This mixture improves operating conditions (coolant will
start freezing at -20 °C/-4 °F).

Coolant circuit capacity: 2.7 dm (litri).

Warning
This operation must be carried out with the engine
cold and with the motorcycle on a perfectly flat surface.
