Changing the air filter (fig. 43)
The air filter must be changed at the intervals indicated in
the "Routine maintenance" schedule (see Warranty Card).
To access the airbox, lift the fuel tank as described in
(page 45).
To remove the filter, unhook the tabs (1) securing the
cover on both sides of the airbox and remove the cover
itself (2).
Remove the filter cartridge (3, fig. 44) and replace it.

Important
A clogged air filter will reduce air intake and engine
power, increase fuel consumption and cause a build up
of deposits on the spark plugs.
Running the engine without a filter will draw foreign
material present in the air into the engine and may damage
the engine.
Reinstall the filter in their seats in the airbox as shown in
the figure and refit all removed parts and structures.
Important
If the vehicle is used in very damp or dusty conditions
the air filter cartridge must be changed more frequently
than indicated in the routine maintenance table (Warranty
Card).
