Overview:
1. Pre-cleaning
Soaking
The instruments must be soaked immediately after use (within 1 hour at
the latest). Use only aldehyde-free disinfectants (to prevent fi xation of
contamination with blood) with tested effectiveness (e.g. with German So-
ciety for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) or FDA approval and the CE
mark) that are suitable for instrument disinfection and compatible with the
instruments.

The disinfectant used for soaking is only for the protection of per-
sons and cannot replace the disinfection procedures to be carried
out after pre-cleaning.
Manual pre-cleaning
Rinse off superfi cial impurities and coarse particles
under running water, using plastic cleaning brushes if
necessary.
Do not use scouring agents or metal brushes to clean the
instruments.
Flush the inner adapter at least 3 times with approxima-
tely 50 ml (syringe) of cleaning fl uid from the proximal
to the distal end.
