1.
Haltebügel -20-, wie dargestellt, an der Heckklappe
ausrichten und Bohrlöcher anzeichnen.
2. Bohrlöcher jeweils vorkörnen und mit dem 5 mm Bohrer
bohren.
ACHTUNG
Alle Bohrlöcher müssen von beiden Seiten entgratet werden.
Blechspäne sind sofort aufzunehmen/aufzusaugen und es
ist darauf zu achten, dass keine Späne in Hohlräume der
Karosserie fallen!
3. Bohrlöcher mit Entgratwerkzeug außen und innen
bearbeiten.
4. Lackaufbau (gemäß VW-Reparaturleitfaden "Lack", siehe
"ELSA") herstellen:
4a. Grundierung aufbringen.
4b. Grundierung entsprechend der Artikelbeschreibung
trocknen lassen, ggf. kann ein Heißluftfön eingesetzt
werden.
4c. Basislack entsprechend der fahrzeugspezifi schen Lackfarbe
aufbringen.
4d. Basislack entsprechend der Artikelbeschreibung trocknen
lassen, ggf. kann ein Heißluftfön eingesetzt werden.
ACHTUNG
Es dürfen keine Wachse, Beschichtungen oder Kunststoffe im
gesamten Aufl agebereich der Haltebügel -20- vorhanden sein!
5. Haltebügel -20- mit den Blindnieten -23- und der
Blindnietzange befestigen.
6. Die Darstellung zeigt die linke Seite, der Anbau auf der
rechten Seite erfolgt sinngemäß.

Align the bracket -20- on the tailgate as shown and
mark the drill holes.
2. Centre punch the drill holes and drill with the 5 mm drill bit.
CAUTION
All drill holes must be de-burred from both sides. Metal shavings
are to be removed / vacuumed up immediately, and it is to be
ensured that no shavings fall into the hollow space in the body!
3. The drill holes have to be fi nished using the deburring tool
on both sides.
4. Application of paint (according to VW workshop manual
"Paint", see "ELSA"):
4a. Apply primer.
4b. Allow the primer to dry in accordance with the item
description. A hot-air dryer can be used, if necessary.
4c. Apply base coat appropriate to the vehicle-specifi c paint
colour.
4d. Allow the base coat to dry in accordance with the item
description. A hot-air dryer can be used, if necessary.
CAUTION
Neither waxes, coatings nor plastic parts must be present in the
entire area of the brackets -20-!
5. Secure the brackets -20- with the blind rivets -23- using
the blind rivet pliers.
6. The fi gure depicts the left-hand side. Mounting on the right-
hand side is performed in the same manner.
