Regularly check that the air holes in the firebox are also clear. Use a wire
brush to remove any dirt or blockages. For thorough cleaning, the firebox
can be completely removed. To do so, you merely have to remove four
cross-head screws and washers. When refitting the firebox, make sure that
you position it correctly. The firebox should be fitted centrally and firmly
seated but not under too much tension. You should also check that the ig-
niter tube air holes are clean as shown in the illustration on the right. Re-
move all residues or blockages in both areas in order to enable perfect
lighting.
