WATCHING A MOVIE DISC
The film mode preserves the natural ambience of a movie theater in
the following way:
e
The screen display turns off.
e
Allindicators in the display window go off (The display window can
be turned on/off with FL OFF in the film mode).
Pressing one of buttons on the front panel or remote control unit
turns on the display for about 1.5 seconds.
e
The screen is blacked (blanked) during stop mode and when disc
is changing sides.
e
The B-side TOC is not read.
The TOC is not read, in order to shorten the side-changing time as
much as possible. As a result, random playback, and edit playback
cannot be performed on the B side of LDs, even when the discs
contain TOC codes. In addition, the remaining time, ABS time and
total time displays will not function. (These displays will function
normally if the side B is played back once before using the film
mode).
Press FILM MODE on the front panel.

The FILM MODE indicator will light.
NOTE:
When set to Film mode, the display in the front panel display window will not
appear, even when the power is turned on. In addition, the player memorizes
the ON/OFF condition of the film mode even if the power is turned off, so the
display will remain off the next time the power is turned on. To turn the display
on again, press FL OFF.

PARTICULAR FUNCTIONS FOR CD
Since the picture circuit is deactivated and the interference between
signals is eliminated with the Direct CD function, more pure sound
can be reproduced,

POUR REGARDER UN FILM SUR DISQUE
Pour restituer l'ambiance naturelle d'une salle de cinéma, le mode
film a ies effets suivants:
e
Suppression de toutes les indications apparaissant à l'écran.
e
Extinction de tous les indicateurs de la fenêtre d'affichage (La
fenêtre d'affichage peut être activée/désactivée (ON/OFF) avec la
touche FL OFF en mode film).
A chaque sollicitation d'une touche de la face avant de l'appareil ou
de la télécommande,
l'indication correspondante est affichée
pour une durée limitée à 1,5 seconde.

L'écran noir (écran vierge) apparaît pendant les arrêts et les
changements de face de disque.
e
Le code TOC de face B n'est pas lu.
L'omission de la lecture du code TOC de face B permet de réduire
la durée de la coupure de changement de face. Il en résulte qu'on
ne pourra pas utiliser les fonctions de lecture au hasard et d'édition
sur la face B du LD, même si le disque est codé TOC. De plus, il
n'ya pas d'affichage de temps ABS et de durée totale. (On obtient
ces indications à l'affichage normalement si on lit la face B une fois
avec d'entrer en mode film).
Appuyer sur la touche FILM MODE de la face avant de l'appareil.

Le témoin FILM MODE s'allume.
REMARQUE:
Si le mode film a été activé, l'affichage de la face avant de l'appareil ne s'allume
pas même à la mise sous tension. Par ailleurs, l'appareil mémorise le fait que
le mode fil est ou non en service et, à la prochaine utilisation, l'affichage ne
s'allumera pas. Pour rallumer l'affichage, appuyer sur la touche FL OFF.
CD/CDV (Partie audio)
FONCTIONS PARTICULIERES POUR LES CD
Du fait que le circuit d'image est désactivé et que l'interférence entre
les signaux est éliminée avec la touche CD direct, un son plus pur peut
étre reproduit.

Press DIRECT CD on the front panel.
The DIRECT CD button is illuminated.
Press 4 or EJECT R/4 to open the CD disc table.
The CD disc table comes out.
Load a disc.
Press »/Il or PLAY » to start playback.
When the Direct CD function is activated, the player does not
display information.
In Direct CD mode, time for starting play becomes short compared
with that of normal play operation.

To exit Direct CD mode:
Press DIRECT CD again. Also, when LD is played, Direct CD mode
is canceled automatically.
To play an LD:
Cancel the Direct CD mode. Otherwise, the LD cannot be set on the
disc table.

du CD.
Le tiroir du CD s'ouvre.
Charger un disc.
Presser »/11 ou PLAY » pour commencer la lecture.
Quand la fonction CD direct est activée, le lecteur n'affiche
pas l'information.
En mode CD direct, la durée pour commencer la lecture
diminue comparée au fonctionnement de lecture normale.

Pour sortir du mode CD direct:
Presser DIRECT CD à nouveau.
De même, le mode CD Direct
s'annule automatiquement lorqu'un disque laser est mis en lecture.
Pour lire un LD:
Annuler le mode CD direct, sinon le LD ne peut pas être placé sur le
plateau du disc.
