Searching for a Scene to Edit
Shuttle and jog modes
Before starting to edit, you must enter the edit points. In each edit mode,
use the
search dial to quickly locate the scene for the desired edit point.
When the RECORDER
lamp lights, the edit point on the recorder will be searched for,
and when the PLAYER lamp lights, the edit point on the player. Use the monitor(s) to
determine where to edit.
e When using a KSP or KSP-S cassette, put the BVU-950 in the playback mode before
starting the search operation. Otherwise, the recording format may not correctly be
detected.
In the shuttle mode,
the tape playback speed depends on the position of the dial. The
tape runs at a speed
from
1/30 to 10 times normal
speed.
Enter this mode
to search
for an approximate edit point.
In the jog mode, the tape runs at a speed from 0 to 1 times normal speed. Enter this
mode to precisely locate the frame of a desired edit point. Push in the dial to change
the mode.
e Set the search dial at the center position once when
the power is turned on, and
then start rotating the dial.
e When the dial is turned to the right or left in the shuttle mode, it will stop in the
detent position. Turn it further to enter the 10 times normal
playback speed.
In that
moment,
the picture observed
may
be frozen or it may
be broken
up.
