Press this button and the PLAY
button «8 at the same
time to start manual
edit-
recording. With this button pressed in the stop mode (see the STOP button @), the
BVU-950 goes into the E-E mode, and the incoming signals selected with the
ASSEMBLE
button @ or the INSERT button(s) @ can be monitored. Press the STOP
button €) to stop monitoring the signals.
In the playback, search, fast forward, or rewind mode, you can also monitor the E-E
mode
video signal while this button
is pressed.
PB.PB/EE selector
Selects the video and audio signals to be monitored. The selection of the signals to
be monitored depends on the selection of this selector and on the operation mode.
See "Monitoring video and audio signals" on page 26 for more details.
e The signal to be monitored can also be changed from the dial menu. See "DIAL
MENU
OPERATION" and the maintenance manual for details.
CTL/TC/DIAL MENU
selector
Selects what
is displayed
in the time counter display @ as follows:
CTL:
Displays time period of tape travel in hours, minutes, seconds and frames by
counting CTL pulses.
TC:
Displays time code
DIAL MENU:
The BVU-950 goes into the dial menu operation mode and the dial
menu will be displayed. In this mode, any other functions are deactivated.
e You can put the BVU-950 in the dial menu operation mode with the
REMOTE/LOCAL selector @ set to LOCAL, only when a cassette is not inserted or
when the unit is in the stop mode (see the STOP button @).
LAP button
While this button is pressed, the lap time (duration between IN and OUT points) is
shown on the time counter display @. With only the IN point entered, the lap time
between the IN point and current tape position will be displayed. With only the OUT
point entered, the lap time of the last edit will be displayed.
Time counter display
Displays the item selected by the CTL/TC/DIAL MENU
selector @.

RESET button
Press to clear the entered edit points. When the CTL signal is used to display the
time period of the tape travel on the time counter display @, press to reset to
0:00:00:00.
