REMOTE
1 (9-pin) connector
Connect another BVU-950 or a unit such as the BVU-850/-870 Sony video cassette
recorder, BVW-10/-40 Sony video cassette player, or BVE-900 Sony automatic editing
control unit to perform an edit recording.
Use the supplied 9-pin remote control cable to make the connection.
VIDEO OUT (output) connectors (BNC type)
A composite video is output from these connectors. Connect to the video input
connector of a VTR or a video monitor.
REF VIDEO
OUT (reference video output) connector
This Output can be used when a BKU-901 time base corrector is installed. The signal
being output is the same as the signal being input to the REF VIDEO IN connector
@. When a
signal is not input, the reference signal generated by the BKU-901 time
base corrector will be output.
TIME CODE OUT (output) connector (BNC type)
When playback, time code is output from this connector. When recording, the time
code supplied to the TIME CODE
IN connector ® is directly output. Connect to the
input connector of a time code generator/reader. When a BKU-905 time code
generator/reader (optional) is installed, the time code generated by the BKU-905 can
also be output.
AUDIO OUT (output) connectors (XLR 3-pin)
Audio signals are output from these connectors. The output level is controlled by the
AUDIO LEVEL PB controls located on the control panel. For editing, connect to the
audio input connectors of the recorder.
TIME CODE
IN (input) connector (BNC type)
Supply the time code to this connector. The time code is recorded on the address
track on the tape. To use with another time code generator/reader, connect its output
to this connector. Use this connector for the slave lock when the BKU-905 time code
generator/reader (optional) is used.
AUDIO OUT MONITOR (audio monitor output) connector (XLR 3-pin)
Connect to audio equipment for monitoring. The output is selected with the AUDIO
MONITOR
selector located on the control panel.
DUB
OUT
(dubbing output) connector (7-pin)
Use to supply the video signal to be dubbed to a U-matic VTR. Connect to the dub in
connector of the U-matic VTR
using the supplied 7-pin dubbing
cable.
DUB IN (dubbing input) connector (7-pin)
Use to input the video signal to be dubbed from a U-matic VTR. Connect to the dub
out connector of the U-matic VTR using the supplied 7-pin dubbing cable.
TBC REMOTE (time base corrector remote control) connector
When a BKU-901 time base corrector (optional) is installed, connect the BVR-50 remote
controller supplied with the BKU-901.
MONITOR VIDEO (monitor video output) connector (BNC type)
This outputs the video signal for monitoring. Connect to the video input connector of
a color monitor.

MONITOR
(monitor output) connector (8-pin)
Connect to the VTR connector (8-pin) of a video monitor with a monitor connecting
cable such as the VMC-3P/-5P/-10P (optional). Through this cable, both video and audio
signals can be monitored. An audio signal(s) selected with the AUDIO MONITOR
selector located on the control panel will be output. Information superimposed
on a
picture in the dial menu operation mode will also be output.
