Enter IN points.
Enter an OUT point.
Enter IN points for the player and recorder.

Press the PLAYER/MENU
button to enter the IN point for the player, or press the
RECORDER/DATA
button to enter the IN point for the recorder.
The PLAYER or RECORDER
lamp lights up and the IN and OUT lamps start
blinking.

Use the search dial to locate the scene for the IN point.

Press both the ENTRY and IN buttons at the same time.
The IN lamp lights up and the figures displayed on the time counter display will be
entered as the IN point.
e The first IN point should be set at a point at least five seconds after the beginning
of the recorded portion of the tape, or should be set to the point after the duration
of the preroll time set.

Enter an OUT point for the player or recorder.

Turn the search dial to locate the scene for the OUT point.

Press both the ENTRY and OUT buttons at the same time.
The OUT lamp lights up and the figures displayed on the time counter display will
be entered as the OUT point.*
e Be sure to enter the OUT point behind the IN point. If this is reversed, the IN point
is cleared and the editing will not be done.
To cancel the edit mode selected
To change the currently selected edit mode,
press the button of the lit lamp.
The lamp goes out and you can select another edit mode.
* It is not necessary to enter an OUT point on the
recorder if an OUT point on the player has already been
entered.
