@ 75 ohm termination switch
Use to terminate the video signal supplied to the VIDEO
IN connector @.
ON:
When one VIDEO IN connector is used for the incoming signal and the other is
left open.
OFF:
For a bridging connection (One VIDEO IN connector is used for the incoming
signal but the other is used to send the incoming signal to another VTR.)
@ VIDEO IN (video input) connectors (BNC type)
Supply a composite video signal to one of these connectors.
For a bridging connection, use either one for input and the other for output. In this
case, be sure to set the 75 ohm
termination switch @ to OFF
and terminate the trunk
line end instead.
&} AC IN (power inlet)
Plug in the supplied AC
power cord to supply power to the BVU-950.
75 ohm
termination switch
Use to terminate the signal supplied to the REF
VIDEO
IN connector @.
ON:
When one REF VIDEO IN connector is used for the incoming reference
signal and the other is left open.
OFF:
For a bridging connection (One REF VIDEO IN connector is used for
the incoming reference signal but the other is used to send the incoming reference
signal to another VTR.)
@
REF VIDEO IN (reference video input) connectors (BNC type)
To externally lock the servo-mechanisms
only, supply a sync signal (0.2 to 5 Vp-p) or a
composite video signal (either VBS or VS, 1 Vp-p) as the reference signal.
Supply a composite video signal (VBS, 1 Vp-p) as the time base reference signal when
a BKU-901 (optional) is installed.
@ SERVO LOCK switch
Selects the servo reference signal.
AUTO:
Normally, set to this position.
In the record mode, the signal supplied to the VIDEO IN connector @ or to the
DUB
IN connector @
is used as the reference.
In the playback mode, see the table for 'Selecting a reference signal for the servo
systems"
on page 27.
EXT SYNC:
The signal supplied to the REF VIDEO
IN connector @
is used as the
reference signal regardless of the operation mode.
ae
SC IN (subcarrier input) connector (BNC
type)
Input a chroma subcarrier (3.58 MHz) as the reference signal to phase lock the
chroma
signal in the playback mode.
Use a BVT-810 time base corrector (optional) or
an equivalent unit to supply the reference signal.
@} RF (off tape FM signal output) connector (BNC type)
Outputs the FM signal picked up by the videoheads. Use to supply the FM signal to
detect dropouts for an externally connected time base corrector such as the BVT-810
(optional).
.
@) REMOTE 2 (24-pin) connector
This connector is for system
expansion.
For the use of this connector and
its pin
assignment,
see the maintenance
manual.
