Preparation for Recording
Adjusting video and audio signal levels
To adjust the video signal level, use the video signal supplied from either the VIDEO
IN or DUB IN connector.

Video level adjustment
Set the VIDEO
LEVEL selector as follows:
AUTO:
to adjust automatically
MANU:
to adjust manually
Use a waveform monitor and adjust to the specified level with the VIDEO LEVEL
control.
Audio level adjustment
Set the AUDIO LIMITER switch to OFF, and adjust the level by channel with th
AUDIO LEVEL REC controls.
The readings of the AUDIO meters should be nearly zero at the maximum
possible
input level.
Monitoring video and audio signals
Use the PB.PB/EE selector to monitor the E-E (Electric to Electric) video or the PB
(playback) video. This also selects the corresponding audio signals.
The BVU-950 selects and outputs the video signal as listed in the table below.
