Press to put the BVU-950
in the search
mode
and the tape will run at a preset speed.
PLAYER/MENU
button and lamp
The function of this button
is switched with the CTL/TC/DIAL
MENU
selector @ as
shown
below.
CTL or TC
Use the BVU-950 as a recorder and connect another VTR as a
player to the REMOTE-1
connector (9-pin) located on the connector
panel.
Press this button and the lamp will light. Use the mode selector
buttons on the recorder to select the mode of the player.
DIAL
MENU |
While pressing this button, use the search dial @ for the menu
selection on the monitor. See "DIAL MENU
OPERATION".
STOP button
Press to put the BVU-950
in the stop mode.
In the stop mode, the tape stops,
however, the head drum
still rotates and the tape is still loaded so a
still picture is
displayed. When a cassette is inserted, the BVU-950 automatically enters the stop
mode without pressing this button.
F FWD (fast forward) button
Press to advance the tape at high speed.
e When the unit is put in the fast forward mode for the first time using a KCA-60 or
KCS-20 cassette (with small hubs), the tape speed may intermittently slow down
from 28 to 7 times normal playback speed.
e When the BKU-901 (optional) is used, the tape speed in the fast forward mode slows
down and it may take longer than three minutes to wind a KCA-60 cassette tape
completely.
PLAY (playback) button
Press to play back a tape. Press this button and the REC
button @ at the same time
to start recording. Press this button together with the EDIT button @ to put the
BVU-950
in the manual
edit mode.
If this button is pressed in the record or manual edit mode, the BVU-950 will enter the
playback mode.
SERVO lamp
With the PLAY
button &) pressed, normally the drum
and capstan
servo-mechanisms
will start working properly. This lamp lights when the servo-mechanisms are locked in
a reference signal.
e The SERVO lamp blinks if the servo-mechanisms are not loked in during editing.
REW (rewind) button
Press to rewind the tape at high speed.
e When a half-way wound KCS-20 cassette is inserted and the unit is put in the fast
forward or rewind mode, the tape speed intermittently slows down to 7 times normal
playback speed.
