Shock absorber: 749/749 Dark
STANDARD setting:
turn the adjusters all the way in (clockwise) then slacken
them:
registro (1): 17 clicks
adjuster (2): 1.5 turns
Spring preload 10 mm
Shock absorber 749S single-seater
STANDARD setting:
turn the adjusters all the way in (clockwise) then slacken
them:
adjuster (1): 1 turn
adjuster (2): 1 turn
Spring preload: 11.5 mm
Shock absorber 749S two-seater
STANDARD setting:
turn the adjusters all the way in (clockwise) then slacken
them:
adjuster (1): 1.5 turns
adjuster (2): 1 turn
Spring preload: 15 mm
Warning
The shock absorber is filled with gas under pressure
and may cause severe damage if taken apart by unskilled
persons.
If the motorcycle is to be ridden with a pillion rider and
luggage, we recommend setting rear shock absorber
spring preload to the maximum to ensure the best
handling and proper ground clearance at all times. It may
also be necessary to adjust rebound damping accordingly.
