The modular knee arthroprosthesis K-­‐MOD is composed by different components as femoral component,

porous c oating, a nd i n a c emented o ne. T he K -­‐MOD s ystem i s a lso r ealized i n a n a nallergic v ersion w hich i s
characterized b y a T iNbN c oating, i ndicated f or c emented a pplication. S uch c oating m akes t he c omponents
manufactured in CoCrMo anallergic, while the components manufactured in Ti6Al4V are already anallergic
even w ithout t he c oating. T he s ystem i s a lso a vailable i n t he u ncemented a nallergic v ersion, f or a pplication
without b one c ement i n p atients t hat s how s ensibility b oth t o m etal i ons a nd b one c ement. S uch v ersion i s
characterized b y t he p resence o f b oth a T iNbN c oating a nd a p orous c oating.
