REPLACING THE PRIMARY TRANSMISSION VEE
BELT (A Fig.15)
1.
Remove the primary drive cover.
2.
Remove the four screws holding the engine
mounting plate to the cross members.
3.
Slide the engine towards the right hand side
plate until the Vee belts can be removed.
NOTE: Always replace both belts.
4.
Fit new Vee belts and move engine back into
position and refit the four securing screws.
5.
Check adjustment of clutch and if necessary
make adjustments as detailed in the
adjustment section.
6.
Replace all guards and covers.
REPLACING THE LANDROLL / CYLINDER
LAYSHAFT DRIVE BELT (A Fig.16)
1.
Remove the primary drive cover, top belt
guard, base belt guard and end cover.
NOTE: To remove base belt guard remove the
screws holding the brake abutment bracket.
Remove the brake rod pivot housing and drop
towards landroll.
2.
Remove the four screws holding the engine
mounting plate to the cross members.
3.
Slid engine to the right and remove the two
Vee belts.
4.
Remove the screws holding the layplate to the
engine bracket.
5.
Disconnect the transmission clutch cable at the
clevis and unscrew adjuster to remove.
6.
Remove the belt from the landroll drive.
7.
Remove the nuts and washers from both
bearings supporting the landroll layshaft.
8.
Slid the layshaft, pulley, bearing assembly
through the side plate to the left.
9.
Remove the screws holding the layplate to the
cross members.
10.
Slid the new belt under and over the layplate
from the landroll end, until it is looped around
the cutting cylinder layshaft.
11.
Slid the layshaft, pulley, bearing assembly
through the belt back into the layplate.
12.
Secure the bearings in their positions.
13.
Replace the landroll belt.
14.
Refit engine and Vee belts.
15.
Refit transmission clutch cable and screws
holding layplate to engine plate
16.
Replace all guards.

Refit brake cable abutment bracket and brake
rod pivot housing.
18.
Refit top cover.
