ANGLE SENSOR REPLACEMENT (SCALE OPTION)
TOOLS REQUIRED:
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver
• 3/8 in. Combination Wrench
PROCEDURE:
Note
Unless otherwise indicated, refer to Figure 15,
1.
Raise the foot rail to the highest position and lower the siderails completely.
2.
Lift the foot section and fold it towards the head end of the stretcher.
3.
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the seven screws holding the foot cover
plate to the litter frame. Remove the plate (see Figure 14,

Disconnect the cable connecting the angle sensor to the control board from the angle sensor. When reconnecting
the cable, ensure the cable maintains the same orientation.
5.
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a 3/8 in. combination wrench, remove the two screws and the two nylon nuts
holding the angle sensor support and the retaining plate to the frame. Remove the defective angle sensor.
Note
If the angle sensor is glued to the support and retaining plate, the proper replacement is p/n: 80-5001.

Reverse the above steps to install the new angle sensor.

Calibrate the scale system (see "Scale System Calibration",

Verify proper operation of all scale functions before returning the stretcher to service.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT (SCALE OPTION)
TOOLS REQUIRED:
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver
PROCEDURE:
Note
The
icon indicates the batteries must be replaced.
1.
Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws holding the battery casing cover to the scale accessory
bracket.
2.
Remove the four batteries and replace them with four new C type 1.5 VDC alkaline batteries. Ensure the batteries
are installed with the proper polarity.
3.
Reinstall the cover.
4.
Calibrate the scale system (see "Scale System Calibration",

Verify proper operation of all scale functions before returning the stretcher to service.
Note
Use only 1.5 VDC batteries. Use of other voltage and/or types may damage the scale system. Remove the batteries if
the scale system or stretcher will not be used for long periods of time.
