Troubleshooting

If you encounter a problem, it often will merely be something minor. Before you call customer service, consider the
suggestions and instructions below.
Problem
Appliance is not working
Appliance does not start
Water tank empties without any
apparent reason. Evaporator dish is
overflowing.
Evaporator dish has been boiled dry
even though the water tank is full
A "plop" noise can be heard when
cooking
An excessive amount of steam is
produced when steaming
An excessive amount of steam is
repeatedly produced when steaming
Steam escapes from the vent openings
when cooking
Appliance no longer produces steam
correctly

Possible Cause
Cord is not plugged in
Power outage
Defective fuse
Faulty operation
Appliance door is not closed all the way
Water tank was not closed properly
Tank lid seal is dirty
Tank lid seal is defective
Water tank was not inserted correctly
Supply line is clogged
Temperature change affecting frozen food
and caused by water vapor
Appliance is being calibrated automatically This is normal.
Appliance cannot be calibrated
automatically when cooking for short
periods of time
The appliance needs to be descaled
Tip/Solution
Connect appliance to power.
Check if other kitchen appliances
are working.
Check the fuse or breaker box to
see if the breaker or fuse to the
appliance is working.
Turn off power to the appliance at
the main power supply (fuse or
breaker box) and turn it back on
after approximately 10 seconds.
Close the appliance door.
Close the tank lid until it clearly
snaps into place.
Clean the seal.
Obtain a new water tank through
customer service.
Slide in the water tank until it locks
into place.
Descale appliance. Verify that the
water hardness level is set correctly.
This is normal.
Reset the appliance to the factory
setting (see Basic Settings). Next,
start the Steam mode for 20 minutes
at 210°F (100°C).
This is normal.
Start Decalcify mode.
