5. Technical Data

5.1 Ambient temperature: max. +40 °C
5.2 Medium temperature: –20 °C to +140 °C
Depending on the casting quality and field of use,
local regulations and statutory provisions may
restrict the maximum medium temperature.
As standard, the pump casings and the pump covers
of types 35, 45, 55, 65, 85 and 100-V are made of
IN-GJL-250 (grey cast iron 25) and those of types 40,
50, 67, 87, 126 and 150 V are made of IN-GJS-400
(nodular graphite iron 40).
5.3 Max. permissible operating pressure (ultimate
pumping pressure)
Standard version: 10 bar: 140 °C
Special version:
13 bar: 140 °C
16 bar: 120 °C
The maximum operating pressure is
Caution
dependent on the medium temperature.
The pressure and temperature limits
shown must not be exceeded.

5.4 Operating pressure/feed pressure/suction heads

5.4.1 Min. feed height for closed systems
(Required gauge pressure at the suction nozzle of the
pump). (Table 1)
The values are applicable for hot water generation
plants. Install 500 m above sea level.
Only small resistances are permissible in
Caution
the suction line, i.e. the zero point of the
plant is shortly before the suction nozzle
of the pump.
The required operating pressure changes
by +/–0.01 bar per +/–100 m altitude above sea level.
5.4.2 Minimum feed heights, maximum suction
heads for open systems (Table 2)
Table 2 shows the minimum feed heights or the
maximum suction heads at a barometric pressure of
101.3 kPa, corresponding to 0 m above sea level at
the maximum pumping flows. The required feed
height changes by +/–0.1 m per +/–100 m altitude
above sea level.

A negative number means the minimum required
feed height and a positive number the maximum
possible suction head at the suction nozzle at diffe-
rent medium temperatures. The losses due to friction
in the suction line should be kept very small (Table 2).

5.5 Max. feed pressure

The max. feed pressure + zero pumping pressure
must always be lower than the «max. permissible
operating pressure».

5.6 Min. pumping flow

A minimum pumping flow must always pass through
the pump.
Caution
A minimum pumping flow of 10% of the
pumping flow at the best efficiency point
must always flow through the pump.
The pumping flow and the pumping height at the
best efficiency point are shown on the pump's type
plate.

5.7 Max. pumping flow

The maximum pumping flow must not exceed the
values quoted for the individual pumps. Otherwise,
there is a risk of, for example, cavitation and over-
loading.

See the motor's type plate.
