6. Installation

6.1 Erection

The pump must be erected in a frost-free and well-
ventilated room.
In plants for pumping hot media, make

sure that people cannot accidentally come
into contact with hot surfaces.
A minimum clearance is required above the motor
for inspection and for repairs:
– For pumps with motors up to and including
4 kW: 300 mm.
– For pumps with motors over 5.5 kW, a space of
at least 1 m should be provided by the customer
for a block and tackle.
Motors and pump head (motor and impeller)
Caution
alone may be lifted by the suspension
shackles (if present).
The whole pump must not be lifted by the
suspension shackles. The suspension
shackles are not sufficiently strongly
dimensioned for this purpose.
Space above the motor
0.25 to 4.0 kW

6.2 Connection

The arrows on the pump casing show the direction
of flow of the medium.
Depending on the motor size, the pump can be
installed in horizontal or vertical pipework. Pumps
with motors up to and including 7,5 kW may be
installed in all positions, but the motor must not
point downwards.
LV vent, independently of the direction of
