User Responsibilities
•
Notices attached directly to the pump, e.g. arrows indicating direction of rotation and
the marking for fluid connections, must always be observed and maintained in a clearly
legible condition.
•
The centrifugal pump has been built using state-of-the-art technology and in
compliance with recognised safety regulations. Despite that there could be danger to
life and limb of the user or to third parties or damage to property in the way that you
employ the blower.
•
So the owner / user must ensure that
- the operator's manual is always available for users to read.
- the safety instructions in this operator's manual are carefully observed.
2.4
Safety Instructions for Installation
•
The centrifugal pump is designed to be built into a total machine or plant. The
centrifugal pump is delivered without any protection against accidental contact. If
necessary, the system supplier must fit appropriate protective covers in integrating the
centrifugal pump into the plant (e.g. if hot liquids with a temperature over 60° C are
delivered).
•
If the centrifugal pump is built into a duct then it must be ensured that there is enough
ventilation (for cooling the motor) and enough drainage facility for leaked water (at least
DN 40).
2.5
Safety Instructions for Connection
•
Electrical equipment must be installed and maintained by qualified electricians. The
appropriate local safety requirements and installation regulations must be observed.
The expression "qualified person" is defined in VDE 0105 and IEC364. There is no
information contained in this operator's manual for unqualified persons. It must be
pointed out that EU regulations prohibit the use of unqualified persons on electrical
systems.
•
Work on the electrical equipment of the centrifugal pump must be carried out
exclusively by a qualified electrician or a person under the direct supervision of such a
person in accordance with electrical regulations.
•
Danger from electric shocks must be completely excluded (for details see the country
specific regulations and / or the local power supply company)
•
The details on the type plate must correspond to the electrical supply being connected
to.
•
Under no circumstances must there be any conducting connection between the metal
parts of the motor and the water.
•
The centrifugal pump may only be operated using an earth leakage circuit breaker.
