● Insert the perimeter wire into the cable
guides of the floor plate, guide it
through the socket, attach the
connector and connect to the docking
station.
Follow the instructions in the "Initial
installation" section. (
● Install the docking station
cover and then connect the
mains plug.
● Check the wire signal. (
● Check docking. (
9.8)
If necessary, correct the position of the
perimeter wire in the area of the
docking station.
11.5 Wire clearances – use iRuler
The perimeter wire (1) can be routed
without clearance along obstacles that
can be travelled on such as patios and
paths. The robotic mower then travels with
one rear wheel outside the mowing area.
Maximum height difference between lawn
area and obstacle: 2 cm
Take care not to damage the
perimeter wire when tending to the
lawn edge. If necessary, install the
perimeter wire at a slight distance
(2-3 cm) from the lawn edge.

Measuring wire clearances with the
iRuler:
9.8)
To ensure the correct clearance from the
perimeter wire to the edge of the lawn and
to obstacles, the iRuler should be used for
measuring the distances.
A – 22 cm
High obstacle:
Clearance between a high
obstacle and the perimeter wire.
The robotic mower must run completely
within the mowing area and must not touch
the obstacle.
The spacing of the iRuler is defined
such that the robotic mower can
travel along the edge with a track
offset of 6 cm without interruption
(without bumping against
obstacles). Reduce the track offset
if necessary (too much unmown
grass on edge). (
10.11)
A – 22 cm
Corridors:
Wire clearance in corridors.
(
11.10)
Corridors serve to connect several mowing
areas or for bridging confined areas.
B – 6 cm
Increased clearance for routing the
perimeter wire around an external
corner at a high obstacle.
Through the additional routed
clearance B with the iRuler (1) the robotic
mower travels along the perimeter wire (3)
without bumping into the obstacle (2)
around the corner.
A + C = 24 cm
Internal corner:
Clearance for routing the
perimeter wire in an internal corner at a
high obstacle.
