Fault finding

Problem
Steering drive unit is disconnected when
rudder is at maximum angle (no power
on motor or clutch outputs).
The buzzer sounds while the system is
operating.

Possible cause
The rudder feedback unit is recording a
rudder angle of more than 45 degrees
relative to the calibrated zero.
The rudder feedback unit has not moved
for 5 seconds but the steering drive unit
has been operated by the electronic
control unit.
There is no electrical connection to the
rudder feedback unit.
Solution
Set the rudder feedback unit correctly.
Reset by pressing the SET button and
checking the steering drive unit and the
rudder feedback unit.
Connect the rudder position indicator
correctly.
