2.3 Water Installation Rules
Water used in coffee machines must be suitable for human consumption (see laws and regulations
in force).
The machine is equipped with a filter-softener that needs to be replaced periodically based on
consumption and quality of water used.
The replacement of the filter-softener at the scheduled expiry dates is fundamental for the
quality of the beverages dispensed.
In addition, lack of maintenance is detrimental to the correct functioning of the appliance.
Replace the filter when indicated by the machine or at least once every 18 months.
The replacement interval can be changed on the software, after checking the water hardness using
the same procedures indicated in the chapter "Changing Filter-Softener".

3. Installation Check-up

3.1 WASHING

WARNING: ONCE THE MACHINE HAS BEEN INSTALLED AND IS READY FOR USE,
BEFORE USING IT, WASH THE INTERNAL COMPONENTS ACCORDING TO THE
INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
GROUPS
• Hook up the filter holder to the unit (without coffee).
• Dispense water for about a minute.w
HOT WATER
• Continuously dispense hot water (using the appropriate key) until at least 1 litre of water has been
used.
STEAM (also with Autosteam)
• Dispense steam from the nozzles for about a minute, using the appropriate buttons.

3.2 OPERATION TEST

• Check the correct temperature values
94.0°C
• Check that boiler and operating pressure is
normal.
