2.2 Installation Rules
•
Before plugging in the appliance, make sure that the information on the nameplate (voltage, etc.)
matches that of the electrical system.
•
Check the condition of the power-supply cord; if it is damaged it must be replaced.
•
Completely unwind the power-supply cable.
•
Do not wind the cable above the work surface or the surface of the table where it can be pulled
by children or involuntarily be the cause of entanglement.
A short power-supply cable is supplied to reduce the risks deriving from entanglement in
the case of a longer cable. However longer power-supply cables or detachable extension
cords are available and these can be used if attention is paid in using them:
•
The electrical power marked on the extension cord must be at least equal to the electrical
power of the appliance;
•
The extension cord must be a 3-wire cable with an earth wire;
•
The longer cable must be arranged in such a way as not to fall onto the work surface or
the surface of the table where it can be pulled by children or involuntarily be the cause
of entanglement.
