d) Testing the Functioning of the Motor
Take up operation of the transmitter, if you have not done so, and then turn on the model. The flight
control system emits 5 short audio signals.
When you move the control stick for the motor rotation speed (see figure 2, pos. 10) slowly from the
lower position (Motor Off position) upwards into the direction of maximum motor speed, the motors
should start running.
Now check whether the propeller runs smoothly at low speed before running temporarily at full throt-
tle.
Attention!
Ensure that no loose parts, such as paper, film or other objects, can be sucked into the
propeller during this motor test.
Also make sure that the model is held securely during this test and that no parts of your
body are in the rotation and danger area of the propeller.
If the motor does not start up, the protective circuit was activated. In this case, also push not only the
control stick, but also the trim slider for the motor rotation speed (see figure 2, pos. 11) into the lowest
position.
If you now move the control stick again in the direction of maximum motor speed, the motor will start
up.
e) Modification of the Remote Control Transmitter
If you want to exchange the two control stick functions „Motor rotation speed" and „Elevator", you
have the possibility of adjusting the reset spring or the stop spring of the control stick unit in the
transmitter accordingly.
Afterwards, only the connectors of the two stick potentiometers on the electronic circuit board have to
be exchanged.
However, you need some experience with electronics and remote control transmitters to
carry out this task. If you do not have this experience, you can send the transmitter to our
customer service department to be modified.
