12. Modifying the control stick
assignment of the transmitter

The transmitter can be modified from control mode 2
(factory settings) to control mode 1 (nick/tail function on
the left control stick, pitch/roll function on the right control
stick).
To do that, first unscrew the four casing screws from the
back of the transmitter (ill. 14a, pos. 1).
The back of the transmitter can now be removed. Please
note that there are guide slots on the inside of the carrying
handle (ill. 1a, pos. 2) which should be opened carefully.
In addition, the back cover is connected to the transmission
electrics via a power plug at the socket (7), see ill. 14b.
Disconnect the plug first.
Now remove the small metal plate (2) which causes the
stopping effect of the control stick for the pitch function
and install it on the other control stick module (3).
From the side, remove the sheet-metal screw (4) which
holds up the spring lever (5).
The right control stick illustrated should now show a spring
effect.
Attach the little screw accordingly to the other control stick
module while slightly holding up the control stick with the
spring. The screw causes the lever to stay up so that it
has no effect on the control stick. Thus the spring effect of
the left control stick is disabled and the stopping effect
caused by the small metal plate is active.
When the modification is complete, the micro switch (6)
has to be switched to adjust the transmitter to the changed
control mode electronically.
Put the power plug back into the socket (7) and reattach
the back cover.
After tightening the four screws (1), you can run a function
test.
