17. Troubleshooting

Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the latest available technology,
there can still be malfunctions or faults. This is why we would like to show you how to remove possible
faults.
Problem
Transmitter does not respond
The transmitter turns off straight
away or after a very short while
The system has only a low range
The model does not respond
The engine does not start
Remedy
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of trans-
mitter.
• Check polarity of batteries or rechargeable batteries.
• Check function switch.
• Check the markings on the crystals.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of trans-
mitter or replace them.
• Pull out the transmitter antenna to its full length.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of trans-
mitter and model.
• Check receiver antenna for damages and electrical
continuity.
• Check flight battery or connector in the model.
• Check connectors on the receiver.
• Check the markings on the crystals.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Push the control stick for the motor rotation speed
and the corresponding trim slider into the lowest
position (Motor Off position). If you re-connect the
flight battery to the flight control system afterwards
and then push the control stick into the direction of
maximum motor speed, the motor should start up.
• Check flight battery.
• Check motor or controller.
