g) Mounting the Fin
• Insert the fin (1) from the top into the fuselage
without using an adhesive and adjust it at a
90° angle in relation to the elevator unit (2).
• The rudder horn of the rudder (3) has to point
to the left in the direction of flight.
• If necessary you can add narrow strips of paper
to compensate for a tilted position.
• Now draw on the gluing edge and then take
out the rudder.
• Afterwards, apply a suitable adhesive (for hard
foam plastic) to the openings in the fuselage
and the lower part of the fin within the marking.
• Insert the fin and re-adjust it exactly.
Use a cloth to wipe away any leaking adhesive
immediately.
Keep the model in a warm room (e. g. the boiler
room) over night until the adhesive is hardened
completely.
h) Adjusting the Elevator Linkage
• First take up operation of the transmitter and
afterwards connect the charged flight battery
to the model.
• The trim slider for the elevator (see figure 2,
pos. 3) has to be in centre position during this
operation.
• Hook the clevis (1) into the rudder horn (2) and
check the position of the elevator (3). The
rudder must not point up or down, but has to
be in line with the tail plane (4).
• Turn the clevis until the elevator is in the
correct position.
