b) Inserting the batteries into the transmitter
Using rechargeable batteries in the transmitter results in a significantly shorter battery life due to the lower
voltage (disposable batteries = 1.5 V, rechargeable batteries = 1.2 V). For this reason, always use non-
rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
• Unscrew the screw from the battery compartment cover on the
bottom of the transmitter (A). Then, slide the battery compart-
ment cover out towards the front (B).
• Insert 2 AA batteries into the battery compartment (C). Ensure
that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity (posi-
tive/+ and negative/-, see marking on the batteries and the bat-
tery compartment).
• Close the battery compartment again. Replace the battery com-
partment cover and secure it in place with the screw that you
previously removed.
