2. CONNECT THE ETHERNET CABLE

• Connect the ethernet cable to the Network port on the system. Connect the other end of the
ethernet cable to a router.

3. CONNECT THE USB MOUSE

• Connect a USB mouse to the USB port on the front panel of the system.

4. CONNECT THE POWER ADAPTER

• Connect the power adapter to the DC12V port in the connection panel.
• Press the POWER button on the front control panel.
The power connector only goes in one way. Do not force.

5. VERIFY CAMERA IMAGE QUALITY

• Verify that the camera image quality before mounting the cameras to a final location.

6. SET THE SYSTEM TIME

• Set the system time before you begin recording. Inaccurate video time stamps reduces the
effectiveness of surveillance videos.
• For details on setting the time, see "Setting the Time" on page 37.
