COOLING SYSTEM/EXHAUST SYSTEM INSPECTION

• Remove the coolant filler cap and bleed the
cooling system again, as described above.
No air bubbles → OK.

• Pour coolant into the coolant reservoir 1
between the minimum level mark a and maxi-
mum level mark b.

EXHAUST SYSTEM INSPECTION

1. Remove:
• Seat
• Fuel tank
• Storage compartment
2. Inspect:
• Exhaust joints 1
• Muffler 2
• Exhaust pipe 3
• Muffler band 4
• Exhaust pipe bands 5
• Gasket 6
• Gaskets 7
• Gasket 8
3. Inspect:
• Tightening torque
4. Install:
• Storage compartment
• Fuel tank
• Seat

Refer to "STORAGE COMPARTMENT" in
CHAPTER 5.
Cracks/damage → Replace.
Exhaust gas leaks → Replace.
Exhaust joint bolt 9:
25 Nm (2.5 m · kg, 18 ft · lb)
Muffler bolt 0:
16 Nm (1.6 m · kg, 11 ft · lb)
Exhaust pipe bolt A:
25 Nm (2.5 m · kg, 18 ft · lb)
Muffler band bolt B:
20 Nm (2.0 m · kg, 14 ft · lb)
Exhaust pipe band bolt C:
9 Nm (0.9 m · kg, 6.5 ft · lb)
