Problem / Failure
The Touch Screen is displaying
"Preparing Surface" and will not
let you get to the service screen .
Support surface will not inflate .
Bladder won't inflate or deflate .
The footboard has no support surfaces
display but the support surface is
running and the head box is alarming .

Recommended Action
A . Check for an air leak in system and repair if found .
A . Check the touch screen for any alarm messages .
1) Access the service screen and look at the error log . Resolve
any issues listed . If the support surface will now inflate, return it to
service .
B . Listen to the foot box and verify the pump is running .
1) If it is not, verify both the left and the right CPR plugs are properly
inserted and snapped in the locking mechanism . If the support
surface will now inflate, return it to service .
2) If the foot box pump is running, verify the main air hose is
connected at the foot box and verify there are no kinks in the hose .
If the support surface will now inflate, return it to service .
A . Check the solenoid's in the head box M, RS, LS, RP, and LP to
measure approximately 85-160 ohms .
1) Replace if reading is not approximate .
B . Check the selector valve in the head box RR and LR to measure
approximately 100-1600 ohms .
1) Replace if reading is not approximate .
A . Lift up the foot section of the support surface, unplug the
support surface power cord from the power source and
verify the black connector at the foot box is connected
properly to the bed . Reconnect if necessary . Plug the
support surface power cord back into the power source . If
the support surface now has power, return it to service .
B . Check the red connector for a proper connection . If it
is connected properly, test with another controller .
